Hi. Welcome to my second annual Oscar live blog. Throughout the show, I will be commenting on Hollywood's big party and keeping score with my picks. But, for right now, here are my final predictions.

Best Supporting Actor: Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers Club
Best Supporting Actress: Lupita Nyong'o, 12 Years a Slave
Best Director: Alfonso Cuaron, Gravity
Best Foreign Language Film: The Great Beauty
Best Original Screenplay: Nebraska
Best Adapted Screenplay: 12 Years a Slave
Best Animated Feature: Frozen
Best Cinematography: Gravity
Best Editing: Gravity
Best Production Design: The Great Gatsby
Best Costume Design: American Hustle
Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Dallas Buyer Club
Best Original Song: "Let It Go" from Frozen
Best Original Score: Gravity
Best Documentary Feature: The Act of Killing
Best Animated Short: Get a Horse!
Best Live Action Short: Helium
Best Sound Editing: Gravity
Best Sound Mixing: Gravity

A fine "welcome back" reception from the crowd for Ellen. Nice monologue. But hated the racist joke.
Best Supporting Actor: Jared Leto, Dallas Buyers Club (1-1). A superb speech. It could be hard to top it tonight.

8:55pm:
Pharrell's performance of "Happy" really blow the roof off the place. And this is just the beginning.

9:00pm:
Best Costume Design: The Great Gatsby (1-2).
Best Makeup and Hairstyling: Dallas Buyers Club (2-3).

9:06pm:
Going to get my teeth cleaned.

9:12pm:
I'm back. That's Kim Novak from Vertigo. Remember her?

9:16pm:
Best Animated Short: Mr. Hublot (2-4). Thought Get a Horse would win there.
Best Animated Feature: Frozen (3-5).

9:22pm:
Best Visual Effects: Gravity (4-6).

9:27pm:
I enjoyed "The Moon Song". Fine song and performance. Nice Lipton commercial with the Muppets.

9:31pm:
Best Live Action Short: Helium (5-7).

9:36pm:
Best Documentary Short: The Lady in Number 6: Music Saved My Life (6-8). The title subject died a week ago. Just tragic. Ellen is making nice with the audience and promising some pizza.

9:38pm:
Best Documentary Feature: 20 Feet from Stardom (6-9). That's Darlene Love with the producers. Remember her?

9:40pm:
Kevin Spacey, making a good reference to his role in House of Cards.

9:49pm:
Best Foreign Language Film: The Great Beauty (7-10).

9:54pm:
Ellen looks marvelous in white. Don't she?

9:58pm:
Somewhere in the heavens, Mandela is smiling. This is like the Grammys tonight. Doesn't it?

10:04pm:
Ellen is funny when it comes to selfies.

10:07pm:
Best Sound Mixing: Gravity (8-11).

10:10pm:
Best Sound Editing: Gravity (9-12).

10:14pm:
Best Supporting Actress: Lupita Nyong'o, 12 Years a Slave (10-13). She says that "it's the joy of her life". Got a standing ovation. Also got a bit emotional and gave a shoutout to her alma mater at Yale.

10:21pm:
Can't believe Ellen brought the pizza.

10:29pm:
Bill Murray pays tribute to Harold Ramis. RIP Egon.
Best Cinematography: Gravity (11-14).

10:31pm:
Best Editing: Gravity (12-15). The director even edits this and gets a trophy for it, but doesn't get to speak.

10:38pm:
Pink delivers a splendid rendition of "Over The Rainbow". Judy would have so proud. One of the big highlights of the evening.

10:42pm:
Ellen is really rocking that Glinda costume.

10:45pm:
Best Production Design: The Great Gatsby (13-16).

10:49pm:
What a clever Pepsi commercial. The Gooding Jr. cameo was a kind surprise.

11:03pm:
We lost so many in showbiz this past year. Can't believe they muted the audience applause during the sequence. Bette's performance was really heartfelt.

11:04pm:
Ellen changes to black and looks sharp.

11:12pm:
Idina did fine on "Let It Go". Tried to stay on key. But John didn't get her name right.

11:15pm:
Best Score: Gravity (14-17).

11:17pm:
Best Original Song: "Let It Go" from Frozen (15-18). Robert Lopez is now an EGOT member. Cool speech with some name rhymes.

11:22pm:
Ellen is on fire tonight. She's borrowing Pharrell's hat to get cash from the audience for the pizza.

11:25pm:
Best Adapted Screenplay: John Ridley, 12 Years a Slave (16-19). Who knew he could switch from sitcoms to something great and better.

11:26pm:
Best Original Screenplay: Spike Jonze, Her (16-20).

11:29pm:
Here's hoping we finish this in 11 minutes.

11:36pm:
A well deserved standing ovation for Sidney Poitier. "Keep up the wonderful work".
Best Director: Alfonso Cuaron, Gravity (17-21). Unlike before for editing, he finally gets to speak.

11:38pm:
Three more awards to go!

11:47pm:
Best Actress: Cate Blanchett, Blue Jasmine (17-22). She salutes her follow nominees and thanks the studio (Sony Classics) for keeping the film in theatres for a while.

11:52pm:
Best Actor: Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyers Club (18-23). Allright, allright, allright. He gets a smooch from his wife. 

11:57pm:
Best Picture: 12 Years a Slave (18-24). Brad Pitt gets a Oscar for his producing effort.

Final Thoughts:
-A smooth, entertaining, funny ceremony that improves from last year.
-DeGeneres made a relaxing and wonderful impression as host.
-Final Running Time: 3 hours and 30 minutes (8:30pm-12:00am)
