Thinking Twice Before The Movies

Parents of fellow kids and teens, we have had a sad tragedy this past Friday morning. In Aurora, Colorado, there was a killing rampage of 12 dead and 58 injured at the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. This act of death raises a question: Is it really safe to go to the movies anymore?

Violence comes unexpected at a place where you'll never know it. People, we need our children to be more safe when they go to the cinemas. Here's some rules to keep them safe:

-When they want to go to a screening at night, take them with you. It's better than teenagers going by themselves otherwise they would be terrified of being alone in the dark.
-It's better to let them go by themselves to a matinee or morning screening. That way, they would be more safer. Plus, give them cell phones so that they can call you on the way to the theater and back.
-Don't let them go in the movies in costumes and/or masks. It's better to come in with your regular self.
-Give them a long talk about violence in the movies and tell them not to imitate it.
-It's better to let your kids go to the movies by themselves when they reach 18 years of age.

These rules must be taken seriously to keep our children safe. We need to take action for both the sake of the child and the movies.

Please pray for the people and the town of Aurora, Colorado. They're in a time of sadness and they really need to move on. Our thoughts go to the families and friends of the victims. God Bless.
